1928年，ローマ市から白虎隊記念碑の石柱をもらったその年に改築が議決され，1937年に竣工した建物。そういう経緯からか，正面の列柱はコリント式が採用され，部分的な古典主義建築になっている。なかなか立派で良い建築物だが，それ以上に建築経緯が面白い。

建屋は、リフォームされてとてもキレイになりました。お役所のお仕事は、相変わらずとは思いますが、会津若松市役所は対応は良いのではないでしょうかと思います。

夜ライトアップを眺めました。

昭和初期の建築でヨーロッパ調の歴史を感じさせる荘厳な建物。

価値ある建築物だと思いますので、これからも保存されて沢山の方々に観て貰えるよう願います。
