ここの店主は“プライド”が高く、単品買いの一見客などお客だとは思っていない。
要するに、箱買いしてくれる常連客ならお客さんだと認識するのだろうと感じた。

池田に住んでいる主婦の友人に尋ねたところ、子供連れで家族分だけ買った事があるとの事だったが、接客態度は特に気付かなかったそうである。子供さん連れだったから、一人で入った私よりは優遇して貰えたのかも知れない。

私は勤め先の先輩にちょっとしたお礼がしたくて、わらび餅を自分用も含めて２個購入し、大福のケース入りの物(５個入り)も合わせて購入したが、商品を選んでいる時の店主の目つきは訝しげだった。

別に、商品を触りまくって選んでいた訳でもないが、人様に差し上げる物ではあるので、そこは慎重に選んでいた。その分、時間が掛かっていたのが気に入らなかったのかも知れない。

別の友人へのおみやげとして、甘い物よりも辛い物が好きな事を思い出し、店内にあった箱入りのあられについて訊ねてみたが、会話の中ではやはり和菓子をメインにしているらしき返答だったので、無理に購入しない事にした。

不思議に思ったが、池田銘菓としてはお勧めしていない事は教えてくれていた様である。当時は、池田銘菓として“ウォンバット饅頭”という商品を売りにされていたので、それを箱買いしていれば機嫌が良かったのかも知れない。

もやもやとした気持ちを抱えて店を後にした。購入したわらび餅も大福も美味しかった。職場の先輩に渡しておいて欲しいと言伝した別の先輩職員に愚痴っていると、「あぁ、あそこの和菓子屋さんは、愛想悪いので有名よ〜！」と返って来た。やっぱり。今から15年以上も前の事である。

老舗の和菓子店で
風味豊かなさくら餅を購入しました。

いちご大福を目当てに
伺いましたが、
あいにく完売されたとのこと。
しかし毎年、
春先はさくら餅が
いただきたくなるので、
今回は迷わずこちらを
購入しました。

持ち帰り、
いただこうとパックを
開けた瞬間、
桜の香りが広がりました。

この香りはアロマのような
効用がある感じがして、
春の雰囲気がさっと
イメージできました。

美味しいさくら餅は
大変口当たりがよく、
葉の部分もしっかり
美味しくいただけました〜

お店は天保12年創業という
老舗で、種類豊富な
和菓子が並んでいます。

場所は阪急宝塚線　池田駅から
風情ある街並みを歩いて
逸翁美術館
登り角にあります。

天保12年(1841年)開業の老舗！
家族へのお土産にわらび餅を頂きました！
夏菓子で一番人気の商品。
香ばしいきな粉に、弾力のあるわらび餅で、ほっぺたが落ちるほど美味しいです。7度以下の冷蔵庫で要保存ということでしたが、買ったその日のおやつに一瞬でなくなりました。
ご馳走様でした！

次回は、これまた名物のでっちようかんを買いに来ます！
