Cute cafe right next to one of the temples that are part of the Henro's 88 temple pilgrimage route. Delicious food with sizeable portions - we can recommend the curry (カレー). They also have a good offer in terms of different modalities of coffee and cakes. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Make sure you sit at the terrace - if seats available - for views of the surrounding countryside. To note: free parking and payment in cash. I would definitely go back if I ever visited the area again.

Very nice food and pretty good coffee. The ambience and view are nice as well. I am generally not very picky and hard to please but this was the worst customer service I’ve ever received in Japan. I was with a Japanese person so it wasn’t miscommunication. Ordered coffee to come after the meal. Had to ask 3 times for coffee after meal. Then after waiting 20minutes in very cold weather we tried to stand inside to drink it and were told to go back outside. I’m sure this is not the standard of customer service they try to keep, but I was not impressed. Would be even harder with non Japanese speakers.

😻 Wow! This amazing place for breakfast and lunch is worth the trip. Tough to get to, but what an amazing experience and great value. Will go again and again!
