共同のトイレと洗面所が離れていて使いづらかった！
朝食も パンは美味しかったけれど 後は普通レベル。
600円は高いと思った。
食べている時に、側に居たので くつろげず早々と帰りました。(´･ω･`)

Wonderful place to spend a night on the Kumano Kodo, a couple mile walk or a short bus from the main trail. The hospitality, food, and cute dog are great, the public onsen is amazing, and the town is beautiful!

I enjoyed my short stay here, dinner was nice and yoga with the owner was fun. Haru the dog was very friendly.

I was in the bedroom next to the bar and found it to be comfortable and clean. The air conditioning worked well. Dinner was really nice the curry was very tasty.

There's no shower on premises which is slightly vexing after a long day of hiking but there is a token provided for the local Onsen.

Nice guesthouse for temporary stay in the countryside. Rooms were cozy. Rooms came with tickets to the public onsen which is a short walk away. Hosts were top notch. We were greeted warmly by Haru as soon as we pulled up in our cab. She is very well behaved. I felt at home here.

A Cozy Haven on the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage – Highly Recommend!

I recently stayed at Sansaro Cafe while hiking the Kumano Kodo pilgrimage, and it was one of the highlights of my journey. The cafe is beautifully nestled near the route (just a short bus away from Koguchi), offering a perfect place to rest, recharge, and enjoy some delicious homemade meals. The ambiance is warm and welcoming, making it feel like a home away from home.

The best part of our stay was Haru, the host's incredibly friendly dog! Haru greeted us when we arrived with a wagging tail and accompanied us to our room. Haru was also a pleasant guard to make sure we weren't disturbed once we were in our room as she slept on the mat right outside the door. The host was just as lovely, offering great insights into the local geography, culture and history.

The room was clean, cozy, and offered stunning views of the surrounding nature. After a long day of hiking, the host provided us with tickets to the local onsen so that we could tidy up. I highly recommend staying here for anyone hiking the Kumano Kodo — it’s more than just accommodation; it's a warm, soulful experience.

Our hostess was super kind, and our room was clean and cozy. Not sure what everyone else is talking about!😆 we got free tickets to the onsen nearby to shower, since there is no shower at the accommodation. Really can't complain about the absence of a shower when you get to soak in a stunning outdoor hot spring surrounded by mountains! The food was vegetarian and amazing, even my non-vegetarian boyfriend loved it. She packed us awesome lunches for less than 8$ Canadian. Haru the dog was an extra bonus, she is so sweet. If you're expecting a resort-style stay, maybe don't come to tiny rural villages along a sacred pilgrimage. You get out of it what you put in. We had a wonderful stay at Sansaro, would recommend 10/10😊

Got lucky and caught the bus from Kawaze after finishing the Kogumotori-goe hike. There’s a shop nearby for foodstuffs for next day’s hike and Satsuki Onsen (closes at 20:30) for a bath. ♨️

We stayed in the cafe room which was cool with AC and comfortable enough.

Dinner, breakfast, and lunchboxes were good, except it was forgotten I applied for non-dairy meals and ended up with stomach issues the next few days as a result, not great when you’re hiking for 9 hours.
