Rented a car twice. Great selection, but the location is very remote without public transport (20min walk from nearby train station).

You don’t get the car straight away at the assigned time. You need fill in documents and you will be informed about charges, rules and the check the car condition. I recommend to double check all damages yourself (take pictures as precaution).

The only place where you can rent something cool to experience in the Tokyo area, if you’re a car enthusiast, look no further. Relatively easy to access by train if you don’t want to pay for a cab.

The staff were very easy to communicate and booking online is very simple. Most people that complain in the reviews about being charged, probably mistreated the car or just can’t drive.

While the older cars do show some wear, they are meant to be driven, these aren’t show cars. I had originally reserved an r33 months ahead of time, week before pure trip I was contacted saying it broke down and can’t be repaired in time. I opted to go for the gr86 and it did not disappoint.

Easy process to pick up and return, and having an ETC card made travel very easy. Took the car up to Hakone, it was blissful. Thank you for the experience and memories!

You can rent a Japanese sports car, for example AE86, GTR(R32 R34), RX7(FD3S)...

Great place for car rentals if you’re looking for rare Japanese models etc. We rented an R36 GTR. Book in advance on their website. You’ll have to make payment by card but payment only deducted AFTER you return the car.

The whole process from car collection to return was fuss free. Don’t return later than the allotted time (ours was 7pm) as there is a chargeable late fee. Staff had proper procedures and explained everything including the rules, what not to do and the fines/ penalties involved.

Would’ve given this place 5 stars if not for its slightly inconvenient location (about 1-1.5 hours from Tokyo).

If you are looking for a unique jdm-car experience, that is the spot! The selection of cars and the prices are second to none in Tokyo.
I rented 4 cars back to back at Omoren. All cars were in relatively good conditions. The Evo IX and the cheaper Civic Type R (fk8) had +200k km but were still running perfectly fine.
They take time with every customer to explain the rules and regulations as well as the cars.
I don’t second the bad reviews here. The NOC is pretty high, yes - but just don’t mess up their cars and you are good!

Going to rent at Omoren in the future again!

Sour taste in my mouth after a great day out.

I’m a local in Tokyo so I wanted to try out a sporty Porsche Boxter for the day. We drove up an hour and a half to get to the store and were charged 21,000 yen for 7 hours. That isn’t cheap when you are paid in yen but it was worth it. The car was mechanically sound but the interior had seen much better days (the door panels were peeling off on both sides). Not to worry. We had a great time in the car and the whole experience would have been fantastic had it not been for the huge traffic jam on the way home. We did anticipate this and left our destination with plenty of time to spare but still arrived 15 mins late. Our bad. Sadly this store has a very strict late return policy and so we were charged an extra 6,000 JPY. Again, a lot of money when your salary is paid in yen. Anyway, the way they demanded the late payment just put a downer on the whole day. Meh.

通常のレンタカーでは無いような、スポーツカーから高級セダンまで借りられるので非常に面白いです！

過去に2回利用しましたが、クルマの状態も良く楽しくドライブさせていただきました。

また気になるクルマがあれば借りたいと思います。

Rented a GTR for 6 hours. Make sure you book for extra time because we weren’t aware that you don’t get to just arrive and drive- your time starts and you still have to wait for staff to review the contract with you, then go over the car. So it cuts into your driving time.

Also, be aware that you won’t be able to rev the car, drive even slightly fast to test it out, and there’s a lot of traffic with small streets you wouldn’t be able to anyways. So $260 USD for 6 hours that was actually more like a 4 hour rental went by quick.

Make sure you rent the ETC card because it is convenient to just drive through the toll.
Location is about 1.5 hours by train or $120 for a 45 taxi ride from Ginza. We took the train back because the Go app couldn’t locate a taxi. Had to walk 20 min to the station for an hour ride back.

It was cool to do once, but wouldn’t do it again unless renting for minimum 2 days.
